My photo of the four P-72's on the Orlando & Mt. Dora shows four cars.  Besides the 2970, the others were the 2948, 2968, & 2974.

Those other 3 are shown below along with one extra, the 2920, which also looks as if it was on the SLRG for a time. The SLRG definitely has owned/converted a number of these in one way or another, as at many of their locations there are piles of seats from these things too.

Since this is a generic thread on all of these things floating around, here's a few more. My own picture of the 2915 which was still in Alamosa, CO as of 7/09, along with I believe the 2970. Will look around for other pictures when I get the chance. I know there's someone on this board that was in the area and might have shots of those coaches as well.

All of these appear to be owned by RPCX/Railroad Passenger Car Numbering Bureau, including the 2937 which wasn't ever in Alamosa - pictured here:

Those things are everywhere now, I don't think we'll ever have to worry about them not being preserved or whatever. They are the new bootoon coaches.

I really like the one that was converted to a rear platform observation/lounge car.  It doesn't look bad for a commuter coach conversion.

Where are some of these owners obtaining walk over seats? Was the stock pile from the ACMU fleet salvaged for selling or were these seats stored away in back rooms for many years?
If they are getting them brand new and built from manufacture, the they must cost a fortune.

RPCX is the reporting mark for the Rail Passenger Car Alliance, or RPCA. It is an organization representing private car owners. One service of RPCA is to maintain UMLER registration on members' cars. Hence the RPCX reporting mark.

RPCX cars are not owned by RPCA or the numbering bureau. They are owned by private individuals and organization that are members of RPCA.

RPCX2937 belongs to Island Rail Preservation LLC (i.e. me).

Thanks for the clarification, Fred! Going to Indiana, I'm guessing?
And Block Limit, those are actually the P-75 "zip" or Worlds Fair cars up at Cape Cod.

This one's up for sale. Nice "markers" for a museum train:

I saw this car on Ozark Mountain Railcars a while back and it disappeared about 1+1/2 months ago.
A nice conversion.
