Google Is Your Friend:     Looking North        and south.   

You can wander underneath too. Seems the west side abutment is concrete while the east side is stone and is angled for a different roadway crossing angle.

A wider bridge deck needs at least one new abutment for the extra width. When did the MTA make the new abutments? Same weekend as the deck move? That doesn't give the concrete much time to cure.
