If the car self-impaled on the post before a waiting cop car with lights blazing wasn't making me laugh hard enough then noticing the fire hydrant on it's side sure nuff did.

Thanks for the pics. I lived on 48th street 1957 to 1960 and visited my grandparents there until 1967. My father and I would walk under the mainlines and take a look at the action in the yard that existed north of the underpass. Looking at the pics and Google sat images it appears that the yard and trackage is gone. Somewhere I have slides from about 1990 that show the trackage extending east of 48th to ?Ronzoni?
