As we speak, the LIRR is shut down both on the Long beach Branches, and Babylon Branches...445PM Due to police actions. Sounds like something is up between valley and Lynbrook. Undecided   By the way, I posted this site at RR. net, and explained the conditions. ( behave or be booted)  Grin

Due to signal trouble caused by a downed LIPA power line at Great Neck, we are currently operating with 60-120 minute delays on eastbound train service on the Port Washington Branch.  Westbound service is also subject to 60-to-120 minute delays and is being provided by a combination of buses and trains between Port Washington and Bayside, and connections with westbound train service at Bayside.  Train service on the Pt Washington Branch had been temporarily suspended earlier this morning due to a downed tree in the vicinity of Broadway Station and a downed LIPA power line causing signal problems at  Great Neck and on the Port Washington.

yeah was driving down bell blvd, and saw a crew member heading to 7-11. Stopped to say hi, and he said his train was stuck in bayside for over an hour at that point.
