Does anyone have any photos or info about the twin county siding on the south side of the main line between the Carmens River and the Wm. Floyd parkway?  It may have a new name; I am using the one in the 1966 freight station and private sidings map.  I have seen it only once from the crossing at the east end of the siding.  Thanks!

Wow!  They help a real lot.  Thanks!  I did not realize trees are so close to the tracks there.

oh yeah.  If you ever ride on the greenport branch, tree branhces whack the windows of the train every once in a while.  I remember riding out to Greenport from Riverhead during the railroad festival this year and some people that were riding the train for the first time thought we were getting shot at.  It's a pretty loud thump.

Well at that bridge in the pictures, the trains are regularly shot by paintball guns

Thanks, Paul!

Great view from the satellite!  I scrolled all the way west to the Yaphank station.  There were some boxcars on a siding as well.

Paintball guns?! What a bunch of suburban weenies! When my dad used to ride the old Myrtle Ave. el to work, they were shot at by .22s.  Shocked
