Grand Central Eagles on TV

Dave Morrison sent me this to pass on:

Spread the word - at 9pm on Aug 20th there will be a TV show on Channel 13
entitled History Detectives.  One segment of that show (about 20 minutes) will be devoted
to the Grand Central Station eagles.  I should be on for about 3 minutes.

(Channel 13 is NYC's public TV station. The show may be on other local channels outside NY.)

Cool, I'll check it out.  On a related note, for other folks living in the dark ages without cable like me, Channel 25, a NYC public access channel, routinely has good programs on railroading in NY.  Two of the better ones have been about Grand Central and the High Line.  They also sometimes have, albeit at odd hours, slide shows of vintage subway photographs.

Dave was mentioned in Newsday today in a short blurb in Part 2.  No mention of his work with LIRR history or anything; he was only mentioned as a history buff who has tracked down these eagles.  Even so, good for him, glad to see his work getting some recognition.
